Edna Mae Ashcroft (nee Durrwachter), age 93, of Richboro, passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday July 23, 2025, at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, Pa, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Philadelphia, Pa., to the late George and Edna Rae (nee Barber) Durrwachter, Edna Mae grew up in Feasterville, and was a 1949 graduate of Lower Moreland High School. She worked as a bookkeeper at Keystone Brass and Rubber Company while she completed her certificate at the Philadelphia Bible Institute. She then earned her associates degree in music at Bucks County Community College. She married her late husband, Walter R. Ashcroft, Jr in May of 1956, and they settled in Richboro, Pa., where she continued to reside until her passing.  A devoted wife and mother, Edna Mae loved to take care of her family. She was a longtime member of Feasterville Baptist Church, where she was the church pianist and taught Sunday School to toddlers. After Feasterville closed, she became a member of the Church of the Good Samaritans in Holland, where she was also the pianist. She enjoyed sharing her love of the piano by teaching many students how to play. Edna Mae enjoyed baking, reading, playing games, gardening, swimming in her pool, and going on vacations. She was also a member of the Bucks County Music Teachers Association.

Beloved wife of the late Walter R. Ashcroft, Jr., she is survived by her children David W. (Susan) Ashcroft, Ruth (Royden H, III “Chip”) Pearson, her grandchildren David W. Ashcroft, Jr., Pastor Robert Bosler, Samantha Joy Pearson, Royden H. Pearson, IV, her great grandchildren David, Eva, Jude, and Faith Bosler and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 10 to 11 am on Tuesday August 5, 2025, at Davisville Church 325 Street Rd. Southampton, Pa. 18966, where her funeral service will be held at 11 am. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery.
