Edward “Cadillac” Harkanson, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, he was 73. Born in Abington to the late Edward and Deloires, Ed spent many years working as a Roofer. A member of AA for over 26 years, Ed loved to help other people and especially to help someone get to a meeting. He truly enjoyed being around his grandchildren and spending time with his Lily doing all types of activities but especially shopping. Ed was a huge fan of Philadelphia Sports, especially the Phillies and the Eagles. He enjoyed meeting up with his friends and you could always find him at Giant or spending time with his beloved cat Boots. One of his most memorable lines he would always say was ” Life ain’t always roast beef and blueberry muffins”.
Ed will be missed by his sons Eddie (Amber), Tom (Rachel), and Joey Harkanson. His cherished siblings Bernie (Nedine) Harkanson and sister Bonnie. His beloved daughter, whom God sent to him later in life Katrina (Steve) Buckreis and his cherished grandchildren, his best friend Lily, Alyssa, Dempsey, Bailey, Beatrix, Eivin and Brandon.
Relatives and friends are invited on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10am until 12pm at Faust Funeral Home Inc. 902 Bellevue Ave. Hulmeville, PA 19047 to share memories of Ed’s life. Interment Private. The family requests that all those in attendance wear Phillies and Eagles gear in Ed’s Honor.
