Mary Lee Sowa (Emerick) departed this world on June 6, 2025, with her daughters holding her hands. Born in Clairton, PA, on August 31, 1945 to Edward and Elizabeth Emerick (Kaduk), Mary also lived in Florida and Maine with her beloved departed husband Thomas, stationed in the U.S. Navy. They settled in Levittown, PA where Mary had been a resident for nearly 60 years.

Mary is preceded in death by the love of her life her husband of 22 years Thomas Michael Sowa, twin children Walter and Margaret, mother Elizabeth, stepfather Martin, mother-in-law Minerva, father-in-law Walter, brother Butch, ex son-in-law Kurt Sr., son- in-law Michael, brother-in-law Robert, brother-in-law Walter and sister-in-law Georgia.

Left behind her daughters Deborah McHugh (Patrick), Donna Stawrosky (Mark), Tracy Wagner (Joseph), Faith Rigby (Steven) and adopted daughter Anna Stroh-Sowa. Granddaughters Jamie Sunderland, Tiffany D’Agostino (John), Jocelyn Wagner, Isabella Rigby and Olivia Rigby. Grandsons Kurt Sunderland Jr (Megan), Michael Stawrosky (Sasha), Jonathan Stawrosky, and Tyler Sowa (Katelyn). Great Grandchildren Selena, Lauren, Ryan, Brandon, Kayden, Gavin, Daniella, Kyle, Maggie, Sophia, Michael Jr and Nicole. Sister Diana Libengood (James) and brother Edward Emerick (Kathy). Sister-in-law Dolores Duncan, sister-in-law Joann and brother-in-law Joseph Sowa (Jan) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Mary loved her family and friends. She retired after 20+ years from Comcast Cable as a dispatcher. Mary was involved in the Ladies Auxiliary at the Fairless Hills Fire Company for many years. She was a certified bowling instructor who could instruct anywhere in the US and would coach and instruct anyone that she could. She bowled in the league for many years. Besides loving time with her family, she enjoyed her friends, camping, playing cards, bingo, country music, dancing and going to jamborees, Barbara Streisand and Cher. She loved being outside and gardening. We always said she had a green thumb and brought anything back to life. Mary loved animals and feeding all neighborhood animals. She really made friends with everyone she came across, human or animal, and always had a smile, laughter and embraced life and everyone. She will be truly missed!!!!

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 9am to 11am at Faust Funeral Home Inc. 902 Bellevue Ave. Hulmeville, PA 19047, with a service to follow at 11am. Interment with take place following at Rosedale Memorial in Bensalem.
