Barbara I. Even (nee Moser) died on February 3, 2019 in Lansdale, surrounded by her family.

Born on October 31,1933, she grew up in Croydon Manor, moving to Levittown after her 1953 marriage to Ralph B. Even Jr., who pre-deceased her after 53 years of marriage. There, they raised two children, enjoyed extended family relationships and built enduring friendships with neighbors.

After the children were in school, Barbara returned to the workplace as the accounting manager of a retail chain, a position from which she retired.

She and Ralph were partners in home projects and hobbies, as well as bowling together in numerous leagues. She moved to Lansdale to be near her son and his family, and once there widened her circle of friendships yet again. Whether she was engaged in needlework, knitting, crocheting, or doing leather or ceramic work, Barbara created useful and decorative items now treasured by her family.

She was a voracious reader, liked crossword and jigsaw puzzles and was happiest when there was a cat or two in the house.

She is survived by her daughter, The Rev. Dr. Linda D. Even, son, Ralph C. Even (Dr. Kim B. Even), granddaughter Dr. Laura M. Even (fiance’, Brian Elliott), a sister-in-law, brother-in-law and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

The family is grateful to all Barbara’s friends, caregivers and family, as well as our own friends, who surrounded us with encouragement, support and caring.
