Bonnie Lea Brossman (nee Jackson), age 80, passed away peacefully at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center – Mainland on Sunday, January 14, 2024. Born in Philadelphia to the late Maurice and Marjorie (nee Todd) Jackson, Bonnie spent most of her career working in the high roller section of an Atlantic City Casino. She was a caring person who loved being a mom and spending time with her grandkids. She enjoyed the companionship of her chihuahua, Katie, whom she had for more than 20 years. Her passions included reading, plants, being down the shore and making chili. At the age of 21, she was the youngest Republican committee woman in Bucks County and later worked for the Mayor Rizzo campaign.
Along with her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her husband of 41 years Walter G. Brossman, great-grandson Owen Yanome, her sisters Carol Rohrer, Annamarie Kiefaber and Maureen Hartley as well as her sister-in-law Sandra Jackson and brother-in-law James Kiefaber. She will be deeply missed by her son Todd (Donna) Barats Sr., grandchildren Todd (Jen) Barats Jr., Lea Marie (Maiko) Yanome, Jesse (Sara) Barats, Vivi (Corey) Barats, her great-grandchildren Harper, Diego, Jordan, Grayson and baby Yanome as well as and her brothers Edwin and Alan Jackson, sister-in-law Edee Jackson, and brother-in-law Paul Rohrer. Also by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Faust Funeral Home Inc. 902 Bellevue Ave. Hulmeville, PA 19047 from 7 to 9pm. Interment will take place at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery Newtown, PA.
