Catherine “Cathy” L. Choromanski (Kniese)
passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023
at Jefferson Bucks Hospital. Born and raised in Doylestown, PA, Cathy was a member of the last graduating class to attend Doylestown High School (now known as Central Bucks West). She was also a member of the first senior class to win the basketball championship for Doylestown High School in numerous years. Cathy resided in the Trenton/Hamilton, New Jersey area for most of her life and had a varied and vast work career. She began her employment at Circle F in Trenton, NJ and then moved on to various positions at Westinghouse, General Electric, Broad Street Bank, Helene Fuld Hospital (now Capital Health), Hamilton Hospital (now Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas), and retiring from St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center. As Cathy enjoyed sports, she was devoted to her beloved Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. She also enjoyed NASCAR racing. Cathy was an avid country music fan, enjoyed line dancing, trips to the Pocono’s, down to the Jersey shore, and to the casinos.

Cathy was predeceased by her mother, Mary Walton Kniese Choyce, her fa-
ther, William Kniese, and stepfather Russell Choyce. She was also predeceased by her brothers William “Billy” Kniese, Frank Kniese and his spouse Norma, Charles Kniese and his spouse Shirley, sisters Elizabeth “Betty” Kilmer and her spouse Grover, Emma Houghton and sister in-law Kathleen Kniese. She is survived by her daughter and caregivers Catherine and Edward Bunting, Jr., step-granddaughter Erica Youster (Nick), step-great-grandsons Gavin and Braxton Westlick, and son Michael Choromanski. She is also survived by her brothers Robert Kniese (Barbarba), James “Butch” Kniese, Donald Choyce (Dee), and sister MaryBeth Boilanger (Floyd. Known as Aunt Sissy, she is survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great nephew. Cathy will also be remembered and cherished by her dear friends of 70 plus years, Dorothy Benner and Elaine Walters. A bright light has definitely been dimmed in this world with Cathy’s passing. For those who knew her, Cathy’s feistiness and unique sense of humor will be missed.
Friends and family are invited to Cathy’s Life Celebration on Thursday, October 5, 2023 from 9 AM to 11 AM, followed by a Memorial Service at 11 AM at Faust Funeral Home, 902 Bellevue Ave., Hulmeville, PA 19047
