Dorothy May Malampy (nee Haas) of Penndel, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, she was 95. Born in Philadelphia to the late Charles Haas and Edna Wister and raised by her loving stepfather John Murphy and mother. She began working for Edens Corporation as a ticket agent before retiring at age 92 from the Levittown Septa Train Station. Dot or Dottie which her friends would call her enjoyed doing crafts, especially her soda bottle mice and she loved displaying and selling them at the Holy Ghost Craft show every year.

Dorothy was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 50 years Edward Malampy, Jr and her daughter Joann Blofstein. She will be deeply missed by her children Geraldine Kuehn, Denise Malampy, Edward Malampy, III, and Michael Malampy. Along with her cherished grandchildren Dawn Souchuck, Jaime Kuehn Deck, Kelly Kuehn, Michele Blofstein-Cush, Bryon Blofstein, Robert Neyra, Hanna Malampy and many great-grandchildren, niece’s and nephew’s. She will also be missed by her sister Ginnie Murphy Novak (Jim) and their sons.
