Burial Date June 3, 2023

Hugh Ronald Ladley, aka “Ron” passed away peacefully on April 16, 2023, at Juniper Village in Bensalem; he was 77 years old. Born in Philadelphia to the late Eston Thomas Ladley and Mary Jane (nee Carney) Ladley, he worked in the Auto Body Repair industry most of his life.  He retired from Center Square Motors in Bluebell, PA in 2016.  Prior to that Ron also worked for many years as the General Manager of The Auto Ranch in East Norriton, PA.

Ron was a lifelong “car guy” with a passion for restoring classic cars.  His specialty was Willy’s, and he was known as “The Willy’s Man” to those around the world who needed parts and guidance on restoring and maintaining them.  Ron was an extremely hard worker and a perfectionist.  Three of his antique cars each won the prestigious Grand National Award by the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA).  To put it in simple terms, he was THE go-to-person if you had any questions regarding automobiles.

Ron was also an avid fan of NHRA Drag Racing and a longtime member of the 422 Motorsports Team in Oaks, PA.  He also loved going every year to the AACA’s Eastern Division National Fall Meet in Hershey, PA to swap and sell antique car literature.

Beyond all the cars, Ron’s real joy for over 45 years has been his wife Deborah Christine (nee Ives) Ladley aka Debbie.  The two lived in Landsdale, PA before settling into the quiet rural town of Barto, PA.  Ron and Debbie also enjoyed traveling together, especially up to Maine where at one point they even wanted to live there.

Ron was predeceased by his parents and brother Thomas Ladley. Along with his wife, Ron will be deeply missed by his son Ronald Francis Ladley and daughter-in-law Laura Putnam-Ladley of Castro Valley, CA.  He will also be missed by many other dear friends and relatives.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Memorial Service at Faust Funeral Home Inc. 902 Bellevue Ave. Hulmeville, PA 19047 at 1pm on June 3, 2023. They will be received from 11am until service time at 1pm.
