Lara Lee Connell passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. She was 49 years old. Born in Philadelphia, raised in Levittown, and resided in Trevose for 19 years. Lara was a graduate of Harry S. Truman High School class of 1989. She worked in the offices of Mulberribush Clothing for 19 years. She was a designer and doll maker for her family business, Itzy Bitzy’s. Lara had a great love of music, movies, and books. She had a passion for all things Halloween. As an avid fan of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, she attended her favorite cast’s performances monthly. She was a volunteer staff member of the Monster Mania Convention, as well as a vendor and avid attendee of the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market. Lara loved thrift shopping, crafting, and enjoying good times with family and friends. Lara will be remembered for her beautiful smile and wonderful caring heart.
Lara is the beloved wife of Patrick Connell, with whom she shared twenty-four beautiful years of life and love. Mother of Aryston Barker Connell who will forever be the light of her life.
Lara will be forever missed by her adoring parents, Michael and Janet Derer, cherished by her Godfather William Pankrez, loved by her mother in law Shirley Ayrton, and father in law and stepmother in law Valentine and Jeanette Connell. Lara was a loving sister to her siblings Janet Baker and her husband Kevin Sr, Krysi Lundahl, and her husband Erik, Patti Shedaker, and her partner Dennis, William Coffey, and his partner Kevin, Melanie Botzan and her partner Chris, Amy Eskridge, and her fur sissy Lacey. She will be missed forever by her God Children, Brianna Culligan-Derer and Hannah Eskridge, and nephews Kevin Baker Jr, Zachary Eskridge, Jeremy Eskridge, and especially by her great-nephew and special buddy Jayden Joseph Dominick. She was also cat mom to Loki and Hotei, her favorite kitties.
Lara is also predeceased by her grandparents George Sr. and Ruby Pankrez as well as Michael Sr. and Eleanor Derer and brother Jamison William. She is also forever loved and missed by her aunts and uncles, many cousins, and so many friends she made through the years. Friends and family are invited to Lara’s life celebration on Friday, September 25, 2020, at Faust Funeral Home in Hulmeville PA where they may call from 10am-12pm with service immediately following. In honor of the truly kind and unique soul that Lara has, we ask that you all do something kind and beautiful in her name so that her legacy of love will continue for always.
