October 10, 1937 - August 5, 2026

Rochelle Davidson, affectionately known as Gigi, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026 at Statesman Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was 88 years old.  Born in Delaware County, Pennsylvania on October 10, 1937, to the late Cornelius and Dorothy DeJong.  Rochelle and Joseph Lessun married in 1957 and raised their 3 children in Levittown.  After the passing of her son in 1980 she married Howard “Dave” Davidson and moved to New Jersey.  Together they opened their home and fostered 45 children to try and give them a better start in life.  After Dave’s passing in 1988 she moved to the Jersey Shore.  After a few years she moved back to Levittown to be near her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She would like to be remembered for her love of Jesus and family.  She was fascinated with nature and enjoyed fishing especially with family every Mother’s Day until the age of 85.  She enjoyed crocheting and coloring for hours on end and was a daily viewer of General Hospital.  She will be sadly missed by the “Smokers Club” and all her friends and staff at Statesman Rehab.
Along with her parents Rochelle was predeceased by her son Joseph Lessun, husband Howard “Dave” Davidson, brother Fred DeJong, sister June Blank, and ex-husband Joseph Lessun.  She will be deeply missed by her children Rochelle Cullen and her husband Ed and Patricia Hurt.  As well as by her beloved grandchildren Kelly Conners (Shawn), Casey Pantaleo (Rachel), Ryan Conners (Haley), and Tyler Hurt, as well as her dear great-grandchildren Jackson, Ellie, and Caleb.  She will also be missed by her brother Robert DeJong and his wife Patricia of Vineland, N.J., along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment will be private.
A mother is all those wonderful things you never outgrow your need for.  Gentle is a mothers love.
